“I am not going anywhere”

Ailton denied the news in the press indicating that he wanted to leave Beşiktaş and said “what is written in the press is out of this world. I won’t leave such a great team as Beşiktaş. I will contribute a lot to my team and pay my debt to the fans.”

Ailton began the press conference which he organized at BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities by saying that he wanted to make a statement about the unfounded news about him. He underlined that he certainly had not said the German press that he had wanted to leave Beşiktaş, and added “I just said that I wanted to finish my football career in Germany, just as I had said in the official magazine and the internet site of our Club. But they perverted what I had said. Things that are being written are out of this world. I am a contracted player of Beşiktaş right now and want to play until the end of my contract. I have no problems as long as the administration wants me.”
Ailton, emphasizing that the evaluations concerning the red card which he had been shown in the game against Sivasspor was not correct, said “I did something wrong in the last game which I did not want to. Sometimes such things happen during a game.  I certainly did not have bad intentions in that position. I also respect the fine I was given.”
Ailton said that things have been in the right track since the day Jean Tigana took over and added “I speak with our Coach. I told him that I would be very useful for Beşiktaş. I am happy and will stay here. The only cause of my unhappiness is that I can not score goals. Our fans have been supporting me since the day I arrived here. And, I can only repay my debt by scoring goals.”
