Beşiktaş Cola Turka: 79 - Queluz Sintra: 67

Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team grabbed a 79-67 triumph over the Portuguese team Queluz Sintra in Group C 3rd game in the ULEB Cup, and received its first victory in the Cup.

Beşiktaş Cola Turka, starting the game with the five players who are Kerem Tunçeri, Barış Özcan, Tolga Tekinalp, Rodney Elliot and Michael Wright, was far from playing the game it had wanted against its opponent in the beginning of the game. The Black & White team, which lost the ball several times in defense in the first minutes, could not stop the baskets scored by Miranda after also losing the ball in defense rebounds. The hosting team, maintaining the score thanks to points scored by Kerem Tunçeri and Kornegay against its opponent that was effective in outer shots, scored more points as Tyrone Ellis joined the game and finished the first period 17-16 leading.
The Black & White players also had the control in the second half of the game which was played at BJK Akatlar Sports and Culture Complex. Having a successful scoring rate in the outer throws, Beşiktaş Cola Turka maintained its triumphant graphic and the first 20 minutes of the game ended with 42-31 the Black & White team leading.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka, which made the opponent team feel Beşiktaş’s pressure in the second half also, widened the gap thanks to the points scored by Ellis. The Black & White team was 14 points in the lead for a while, and wrapped up the third quarter with a 59-50 lead despite the few minor mistakes they had made.
Starting the last quarter with comfort of the 9 point cushion, Beşiktaş Cola Turka repeated the mistakes in this period that it makes sometimes in defense. Queluz Sintra tried to close the gap with its American player Brown, and even though the Portuguese team reduced the deficit down to 2 points for a moment, the Black & White players pulled themselves together in offense in the last few minutes and won the game with a 79-67 lead. Beşiktaş posted its first victory in Group C in the ULEB Cup.
The most scorer player in the game was Rodney Elliot who scored 21 points.
