Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team grabbed an 86-79 victory over Tuborg Pilsener in the game played at the 5th week of the league with Beşiktaş playing far superior over its opponent.

Making a good start into the game which was played at İzmir Ataturk Sports Hall, Beşiktaş Cola Turka wrapped up the first period 15-23 in the lead thanks to points scored by Tyrone Ellis, Rodney Elliott and Michael Wright. The host team Tuborg Pilsener made a good start into the second period and reduced the gap down to 1 point. The Black & White players regained the control of the game after Tyrone Ellis joined the team, and increased the gap again thanks to its superior performance in defense, points scored by Rodney Elliott and subsequently by Chuck Kornegay, and went to the locker room 31-45 in the lead.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka increased the deficit greatly in the 3rd period with points scored by Elliott and Wright in the first few minutes, and made the score 41-61 with 4.5 minutes remaining in the period. While Tuborg succeeded in reducing the gap with points scored by Wilson and Ömer, the period was wrapped up with the guest team 55-67 in the lead.    Making a good start into the last period of the game, the host team reduced the gap to 10 points (61-71) with 6.5 minutes remaining thanks to baskets scored by Rahimiç and Erkan. Beşiktaş Cola Turka earned points by the 2 three-pointers in a row by ) Barış Özcan and the points scored by free throws posted a 79-86 triumph over  Tuborg Pilsener, that did not give up the fight up until the last moments in the game, and reached its 4th victory in the 5th week.
