Vice President in charge of Football Branch Kıvanç Oktay said “We gave the game ourselves.” Oktay also said that Souleymane Youla’s nose had been broken.

Kıvanç Oktay made the following assessment on the fight following the derby game:
“We played badly in the first half. We were good in the 2nd half; we had many opportunities but could not take advantage of them. Even though we tied the score as 1-1 at one point, we gave the game to Fenerbahçe. We are very sorry. This game should not have been completed with such a defeat. It was result of our own fault. Coach Rıza shared his grief with me. There was nothing the Coach could do.  We made them score a goal in an unbelievable situation. We have to finish the games without making such mistakes.
