Technical Director Rıza Çalımbay said in the statement he made after the game that he was hopeful about the rematch and they had the power to defeat Malmö in Sweden.

Rıza Çalımbay made the following assessment in the press conference he organized:
“We are sorry. Considering the game as a whole, we found the opportunities that we wanted. But, we could not take advantage of the final balls. We are hopeful about the rematch. Everything is not over yet, it is possible to make up. Just as we lost here, we can beat them there. What upsets me is the fact that we saw the goal coming. My teammates have to be more careful. Over there, everyone will play with whatever they got.  I am confident of my team. You will see in the 2nd game that Beşiktaş will be a completely different team. God willing, we will turn things around for our benefit there.”

“We have a very important game on Sunday. We are concentrating on the game we will play against Fenerbahçe from this point on.”
