Beşiktaş Handball Team stormed also in the Turkish Cup after the League Championship. Black and Whites that had beaten Halkbank 43-33 in the final concluded the 2004-2005 season with 2 cups.

Both teams started the game well. Beşiktaş led the 20th minute with a score of 12-11 and concluded the first period 21-15 up by overcoming Halkbank’s defense with fast breaks in the final 5 minutes. Utku Ergüder of Beşiktaş displayed a brilliant performance by scoring 11 goals in the first half.
The first minutes of the 2nd half passed with mutual goals neck and neck, however Halkbank quite broke away from the game in the final minutes. Beşiktaş continued its pace and won the game 43-33 and the Turkish Cup.
The players and the technical staff celebrated the Championship by hugging and congratulating each other. Fans participated in this joy with applause and cheer.
Trainer Müfit Arın noted that they realized a first by winning 2 cups this season and said: “I am giving 2 cups to Beşiktaş Community as gift. There is no limit for targets in Beşiktaş. Our targets are always high. Next season we would like to pass the elimination round and advance to the group in the Champions League and realize another first”.
The highest scorer in the game with 15 goals, Utku Ergüder, on the other hand expressed his feelings in the following manner: “The sole target for us was the Cup after achieving the Championship. We reached the target without losing a single game. This is the fruit of 10 months and a serious organization. I thank everybody. We just did our part. Our target for next year is to announce Beşiktaş's name in Europe in the Champions League.”
