P.Karşıyaka: 65-Beşiktaş: 63

Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team lost the semi final game of the Turkey Cup 65-63 to Pınar Karşıyaka and missed the opportunity to play in the final. 

In the game that took place in Bursa Atatürk Sports Hall, both teams struggled to score within the first 5 minutes of the first period. Beşiktaş led the game 6-4 in the first 5 minutes. Ratko Varda was whistled for foul twice in the first period, whereas the Black and White team was successful in defensive rebounding. Beşiktaş maintained its lead thanks to inside and outside points made by Khalid El-Amin and Bekir Yarangüme while efforts of Muratcan Güler and Yoleda of P.Karşıyaka were not enough to prevent widening of the gap. The first period was concluded with Beşiktaş’s lead of 22-15.
It was P.Karşıyaka which started the 2nd period well with a 3-pointer, whereas Beşiktaş scored its first point by Andy Ellis. Pınar Karşıyaka went ahead 25-24, thanks to the contribution of Muratcan Güler, with 6, 5 minutes remaining. The Black and White players who missed points one after another were 28-24 behind by the end of the first 5 minutes. Beşiktaş, which encountered problems in defense during the final minutes of the first half in which Holman played well against Ratko Varda under the hoop, couldn’t prevent widening of the gap despite Nedim's points. The first half was concluded with P.Karşıyaka's lead of 36-30.
In the first 3 minutes of the 3rd period, both teams returned empty handed from their attacks. The first point of this quarter was a 3-pointer scored by Muratcan Güler of Pınar Karşıyaka (39-30). Andy Ellis on the other hand scored Beşiktaş’s first point with a foul shot. P.Karşıyaka running back quickly and defending successfully made it difficult for Beşiktaş to score, hence the Black and White team which scored only 2 points within the first 5 minutes fell behind  by10 points (42-32). Beşiktaş, which trimmed the gap thanks to successive baskets by Tolga Tekinalp, Ratko Varda and Khalid El-Amin in the final minutes, entered the final quarter behind 45-42.
The Black and White team, which started the 4th  period with Tolga Tekinalp's basket and trimmed the gap to 1, had difficult time in stopping Muratcan Güler and Holman. Beşiktaş found points in the final quarter with Khalid El-Amin stepping in and evened the game with a score of 52-52 with 5 minutes remaining in the game. P.Karşıyaka increased the margin again with 3 pointers by Faruk Beşok and 2 pointers by Muratcan Güler, whereas the Black and White team responded its opponent with Khalid El-Amin. Despite Holman's success in defensive rebounds, the gap was decreased to 3 with Varda’s efforts with 2 minutes to play (59-56). The score was evened again with a 3-pointer by Brett Maher of Beşiktaş with 1, 5 minutes left (59-59). Beşiktaş took a  60-59 lead after a long period of time with the point scored by Haluk Yıldırım's free throw but could not prevent İnanç Koç's basket and it was Pınar Karşıyaka entering into the final 30 seconds 61-60 ahead. Muratcan Güler put Pınar Karşıyaka ahead 62-60 with a free throw but missed the 2nd free throw; however Pınar Karşıyaka gained a great advantage when it grabbed the defensive rebound from the missed shot. Beşiktaş entered the final 20 seconds behind 64-60. The Black and White team cut the margin to 1 with a score of 64-63 after Bekir Yarangüme's 3-pointer with 4 seconds to play in the game. Holman scored the 1st  free throw and missed the 2nd one following El-Amin's tactical foul; however the time was up and Pınar Karşıyaka won the fight 65-63 and made to the final in Turkey Cup.
