Beşiktaş is in Semifinal

Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball defeated Turk Telekomspor 84-71 in the Turkey Cup game played at Bursa and made the semifinal.

Beşiktaş team began the game with Khalid El-Amin, Bekir Yarangüme, Nedim Yücel, Haluk Yıldırım and Ratko Varda, and was behind by the end of the 5th minute due to difficulty in organizing attacks. Turk Telekomspor began leading the score thanks to good performances by Mutlu and Adem. The Black & White team caught its rival, as El-Amin stepped in the last 2 minutes, and wrapped up the first period with 18-18 even scores.
Both teams had problems in attacks in the first 2 minutes of the 2nd period. Meanwhile, El-Amin was taken out of the game as he had reached 3rd fouls. The Black & White team had good use of Andrew Ellis and Ratko Varda in offense and took the lead against its opponent, which was also trying to maintain its presence in the game with 3-pointers, and widened the gap. Beşiktaş finished the first half 42-34 leading.
The Black & White team increased the gap by 10 points in the first 2 minutes of the 2nd half with a 46-36 score. Despite the fact that El-Amin was taken outside the game after his 4th foul, Beşiktaş did not allow trimming of the gap thanks to good performances by Murat Yolcu and Bret Maher against Turk Telekomspor, which was performing badly, and was 62-50 in the lead by the end of the 3rd period. 
Having made a thunder-like start in the last period, The Black & White team produced baskets thanks to 3 pointers by Haluk, led the score to 72-52 and widened the gap by 20 points in only 2.5 minutes. Beşiktaş, which played superior in the remaining part of the game, left the courts 87-71 leading and made the semi final.
