Beşiktaş: 71-Fenerbahçe: 73

The Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball Team were unlucky and lost the cup after their defeat to Fenerbahçe in the final of the Turkey Cup with a score of 73-71. 

Beşiktaş started the game in Diyarbakır Ziya Gökalp Sports Hall with a starting line-up of Esmeral, Stinson, Mactabene, Yasemin and Arzu. Although Beşiktaş took an early 7-2 lead thanks to Esmeral's baskets, Fenerbahçe clawed back points and found themselves with a 10-9 lead with 5 minutes 40 seconds remaining in the first period. Fenerbahçe was up by 20-18 bt the end of this quarter after both side scored baskets.
 
The Yellow and Dark Blues started the second period well and stayed in the lead thanks to Zanze, who had been resting at the side lines but got back in the game again. The Black and White Team answered Nilay’s good game with Mactabene in this period, where the game’s two referees, Emin Moğolkoç and Serhat Büker made controversial decisions against Beşiktaş. The Black and White team went to the locker room down with a score of 36-33.
The Ladies of Beşiktaş who couldn’t put in their desired performance in the third period, tried to pare the losses incurred by Mactabene’s efforts, but failed and started the last quarter down 54-51.
Beşiktaş played effectively in the final period, entering the final 5 minutes of the game ahead by 66-60 thanks to the efforts of Tuğba Palazoğlu, Mactabene and Andrea Stinson. However, Beşiktaş could not sustain its dominance over their opponents, and lost the came by a whisker at 73-71, and were unlucky to lose the Turkey Cup.
