Beşiktaş: 81 Fenerbahçe: 64

Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team had 81-64 victory over Fenerbahçe in the 2nd game of the European League Quarter Final and tied the score in the series as 1-1. The next game to be played on Thursday, March 24 will determine the team who will play in the semifinal of the European League.

Beşiktaş began the game with the great support of its fans who filled the grandstand. While the Black & White team demonstrated an effective performance under the hoop by RatkoVarda in the first period, the opponent team maintained the balance in the score with the effective outside shots by Mrsiç and the 5th minute in the game was passed with equal scores of 12-12. Then, Beşiktaş took the lead thanks to El Amin’s points and ended the first period with 24-22 lead.
Having made a fast start in the 2nd period, the Black & White team produced the points against the opponent with the outer shots by El Amin and was 35-30 ahead in the 15th minute. Andy Ellis also showed an effective performance in this period of the game and Beşiktaş went to the locker room 38-35 ahead at the end of the first half.
Fenerbahçe began playing effectively in the 2nd half of the fight and took the lead. Beşiktaş tied the score 48-48 in the 27th minute thanks to the consecutive 3-pointers by Haluk Yıldırım. Then, while devastating performance by Haluk in the outside shots continued,
Tolga Tekinalp was also successful in the outside shots and Beşiktaş ended the 3rd period with 63-53 lead.
Widening the gap in the last period of the game, the Black &White team forced its rival to make mistakes by maintaining its scorer position in the game. As a result, Beşiktaş left the court with 81-64 triumph and tied the score in the series as 1-1. The last game to determine the team which will play in the semifinal of European League will be played in Abdi İpekçi Sport Hall on March 24.
