Athletes of Beşiktaş had 21 points in the Women’s category and 42 points in the Junior Women’s category in the final etap of Turkish Inter-Clubs Cross League which took place in Mersin, and became Turkey champions.

Athletes Türkan Erişmiş took the first place with 16.32, Arzu Berk took the second place with 16.52 and Gülşah Akdoğan took the third place with 17.08 in the 5000 meter Women’s category in the final etap of Turkish Athletics League ran in Mersin. Beşiktaş Women’s Athletics Team won Turkey Championship with 21 points after achieving these results.
Further, the Black & White Athlete Alev Yurduseven took the third place with 10.11 in 3000 meter Junior Women’s category, and the Junior Women’s Athletics Team held up the championship cup with 42 points.
Ömer Aras, Beşiktaş Athletics Branch Manager, said “We plan to take our Beşiktaş to a lot better places in athletics. Our next goal is to strengthen our team with two new transfers and to win European Champion Clubs Cup. Moreover, we extend our appreciation to Mersin Beşiktaş Fans Association which did not leave us by ourselves in Mersin”.   
Beşiktaş Women’s Athletics Team will represent our country at the European Champion Clubs Cup to be held in 2006.
