Statements from Rıza Çalımbay

Beşiktaş’s manager Rıza Çalımbay stated “Playing without our supporters caused a lack of concentration” after the game against Gençlerbirliği.

In his media-meeting after the game, Rıza Çalımbay further said the following:
“We were demoralized after the game with Galatasaray. Immediately afterwards playing this game without our supporters caused lack of concentration for us. Despite this, I am happy with my team’s game in the first and last 20 minutes. We tried a different game system in this match. We were able to do what we wanted to in some parts of the game. Especially in the last minutes we had many chances to score, if we could, the game could have ended very differently. In the next matches, we can play with different systems against different opponents. Lastly, I believe that our players could have been more concentrated if our supporters were there. Because we were demoralized after our loss to Galatasaray. We could overcome this problem with the support of our fans. Unfortunately we played without them. Despite everything we are looking forward to playing our next match with Bş. Bld. Ankaraspor.
