Beşiktaş and Gençlerbirliği soccer teams ended the match that was repeated due to a rule interpretation error, in a draw.

The match, which was a replay of the one played in the 19th week in Super League due to the misinterpretation of the rule by the referee Kuddusi Müftüoğlu, was played in İnönü Stadium. The stands were empty because of the penalty given by the Professional Soccer Penalty Committee for the match to be played without supporters.
The match’s first 45 minutes was a centre-field struggle between the two teams and none could make a serious attack on the other’s goal. Rıza Çalımbay replaced Daniel Pancu, who was injured in the last minutes of the first half, with Tayfun Korkut. Half-time was a nil to nil draw.
In the second half, Sergen Yalçın and İbrahim Akın played in place of Tumer Metin and Ahmet Dursun respectively. With these substitutions the black and white team gained vivacity in the striking field. Oscar Cordoba did not permit Youla to score in his dangerous attack. The match ended in a nil to nil draw while Beşiktaş failed to change the score in the final minutes.
