Carew’s punishment is reduced to 1 Game

Arbitration Committee of the Turkish Football Association has reduced John Carew’s punishment to 1 game from 3 which was awarded by the Disciplinary Board last week.

The appeal made by the Club following the punishment of not playing for 3 games given to the player John Carew by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board based on the video recordings of the game between Beşiktaş and Sakaryaspor was discussed in the Arbitration Committee. The Arbitration Committee reduced Carew’s 3-game punishment to 1 game. Carew who was not able to wear his uniform in the game against Galatasaray has therefore completed his punishment.
Kıvanç Oktay, Vice President in charge of Football Branch, stated that “Justice is served, it is the right decision” about the decision reducing Carew’s punishment down to 1.
