Beşiktaş Soccer Team lost to Galatasaray 1-0 in Ali Sami Yen in the derby game in week 23 of the Super League.

The game played in Ali Sami Yen was Beşiktaş’s first derby game coached by Rıza Çalımbay. 763 fans cheered the Black and Whites who started the Galatasaray derby missing Carew. 
The first half ended under controlled performance of both teams. In the attack developed by Galatasaray with Hakan Şükür, goalie Oscar Cordoba had a great save. Beşiktaş, on the other hand, missed an absolute scoring opportunity with Veysel in the first half.
In the second half, Ahmet Dursun substituted Veysel, Sergen substituted Pancu and Ahmet Hassan to Ali Güneş in the Black and Whites team. As Galatasaray was left with 10 players on the pitch as Necati was sent off by two yellow cards in the 64th minute, Hakan Şükür scored in the 53th minute for the team in Yellow and Red. Failing to score on the chances in the second half, Beşiktaş lost the game 1-0.
