Beşiktaş: 2 - Sakaryaspor: 1

Beşiktaş Football Team had its 13th undefeated game in a row after Tümer Metin’s goal in the 18th minute and John Carew’s score in a penalty kick in the 86th minute in the home game played against Sakaryaspor in the 22nd week of the league. Carew could not score in a previous penalty kick and the game stopped for a while due to the ruckus that took place on the pitch.

In the game played at BJK İnönü Stadium, Tümer Metin passed the rival players with a great move and came up against the goal keeper, scored a goal and Beşiktaş took the lead 1-0.
Seven minutes after the goal, Emre Toraman took advantage of the play in which Beşiktaş goal keeper Oscar Cordoba had left the goal and tied the score through by an overhead kick.
Beşiktaş won a penalty kick when John Carew was brought down in the 79th minute. Referee Vedat Yüksel cancelled the first kick of Carew which had gone in, due to players’ entrance into the penalty area before the penalty kick was taken. Goal keeper Şenol stopped the goal in the second penalty kick performed by the Norwegian player. Referee Vedat Yüksel pointed to the penalty spot in the 85th minute once again when John Carew was pulled by the opponent player Mesut, and showed the red card to Mesut Ünal by evaluating the position as a clear goal opportunity. John Carew who took the penalty kick once more in the 86th minute scored the goal and Beşiktaş was once again in the lead with 2-1. The game stopped for a while due to the disorder taking place in the game; the score did not change in the remaining minutes and Beşiktaş had its 8th victory and 13 undefeated games in a row.
