Beşiktaş Men Basketball Team defeated French Strasbourg team 89-71 in the  first match of FIBA European League Play-Offs and got  ahead 1-0.  

Having started the match with a very good performance with the outside hits of Andy Ellis and Erkan Veyseloğlu, Beşiktaş completed the first quarter 21-18 ahead.
Black-White Team strenghtened its defense in the second period and completed the half 41-31 ahead with the contributions of Haluk Yıldırım and Ratko Varda to the score.
Taking advantage of the low shooting percentage and the balls missed by the French team, Beşiktaş finished the 3rd quarter 61-49 ahead.

Beşiktaş played successfully also in the last quarter and Ratko Varda left the game due to his shoulder injury in the 37th minute. The Black-White team which opened the lead in the last quarter closed the game with a 89-71 victory and is 1-0 ahead in the series.
