Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team loses to Nahariya of Israel 83-61 on the way to the final game of FIBA European League B Group and completed the group matches at second rank. The Black&Whites will play against Strasbourg of France, the third rank team of Group C to qualify for the top 8.

Beşiktaş, who faced Nahariya for group leadership, was ahead with 19-15 over the home team in the first quarter. The 2nd period was played evenly with the Black&Whites responding to the baskets of the Israeli team with Nedim Yücel and Khalid El-Amin. Nahariya, who were effective in the offence in the final seconds, closed the quarter in front 38-30.
 
Beşiktaş, who experienced difficulties in both defense and offence levels in the 3rd quarter, could not prevent the gap to increase and started the last quarter 64-47 behind. Failing to get results from their efforts to close the gap in the last quarter, the Black&Whites closed the group in second place with 23 points as a result of the 83-61 loss.
Beşiktaş will host Strasbourg in Istanbul on February 22nd. The second game will be played in France on February 25th.
