Beşiktaş Football Team, beat Malatyaspor 1-0 in the first game of the second half of Super League in BJK İnönü Stadium.

Single goal scored in the match came from Ömer who in the 75th minute kicked Sergen’s cross into his own goal. The first match of second half of Super League, was the debut for recently appointed director Rıza Çalımbay and also Beşiktaş’s first match with its fans after 3 games in a row played without spectators due to a penalty ordered against Beşiktaş. The game was played under rain and the supporters who had missed their team cheered intensely in favour the Black and Whites uninterruptedly.

In the first half both teams struggled in the stormy weather, but no goals were scored ending the first half tied 0-0. In the second half Beşiktaş appeared stronger and attacked Malatyaspor’s relentlessly; as Malatyaspor tried long balls. In the 75th minute John Carew’s head raised towars Sergen’s free kick missed the ball; goalkeeper Fevzi rushed to punch the ball. But he missed too and the ball hit Malatyaspor defence player Ömer and headed to the goal, and Beşiktaş went 1-0 to the lead, which was also the final score of the match.
