John Carew, the scorer from Norway, said the following at the press conference,” I am very happy at Beşiktaş from every aspect. I only think of concentrating on what I do here”.

John Carew made the following comment on the transfer in the  news being published in Turkish and foreign media:
“I don’t know anything except what I have read in the papers. I have not received any direct offers, but I am very happy at Beşiktaş. I have come across an atmosphere which is way above my expectations. I am very happy about everything here.  I only think of concentrating on what I do here. I have been doing my work in that direction.”
Carew replied to the newsmen as followis when asked about his performance in the first half of the season:
“Defense players of the opponent teams usually keep me under close marking due to my tall height and I play against two defense players in all of the games. Naturally this makes my job a little harder. Our team has many alternatives in offense positions.”
