Beşiktaş won the match in Sakarya Atatürk Stadium 4-1 and got the first victory of the 2004-2005 season. 

The opening goal of Beşiktaş came from the penalty-kick by John Carew at 31st minute. Black-White Team was ahead 2-0 with the goal of John Carew who took advantage of the penalty kick gained from wrestling down of Sergen Yalçın in the 53rd minute.  With his hard shot Sergen Yalçın managed to send the ball in opponent nets in the 78th minute and the closing goal came from İbrahim Akın in the 88th minute.  The sole gole of Sakaryaspor was from Serdar Kurt in the 76th minuteand the bout closed with Beşiktaş 4-1 ahead.
