Visitors Beşiktaş controlled majority of possessions in the first half but were unable to create serious scoring chances. In the 54th-minute, Junior Olaitan rolled the ball into the empty net after it had rebounded off the goalkeeper from a penalty kick, putting Beşiktaş 1-0 ahead. However, a pair of quick goals from Callum Osmand and Camilo Duran sent the home side in front 2-1 in the closing stages. Beşiktaş regrouped and levelled through Orkun Kökçü’s brilliant long-range effort 5 minutes from full-time, but Celtic immediately regained the lead with Camilo Duran’s up-close finish and ran out 3-2 winners.
