Beşiktaş started brightly and surged ahead after 11 minutes with a superb shot from Vincent Aboubakar. Cenk Tosun doubled the visiting Eagles’ lead from a penalty 5 minutes later. Despite a couple of additional chances, Beşiktaş were up 2-0 at half-time. The home side pulled one back through Magaye Gueye’s 57th-minute penalty, but it was all they could muster as the Eagles fended off Adanaspor’s attempts for the equaliser to run out 2-1 victors.
