Backed by a full-house home crowd, the determined Black Eagles started attacking and took the lead after 15 minutes with Milot Rashica’s tremendous right-footed shot that went into the top corner of the net. Refusing to quit, Black Eagles upped the pressure at the outset of the second half and regained the lead on 60 minutes when Milot Rashica finished off a well-organised Beşiktaş attack for his second of the night. With 77 minutes gone, Rafa Silva flipped the ball over the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper and tapped it into an empty net to make the score 3-1 for the home side. Then, a last-minute Joao Mario penalty put the match away for Beşiktaş. It was Spanish team’s first loss in Europa League.
