The home side surged ahead after 13 minutes through a header from Davinson Sanchez. It was 1-0 for Galatasaray at half-time. Black Eagles searched for the equaliser in the second half, but a 70th-minute Victor Osimhen header gave the red and yellow team a 2-0 cushion. Beşiktaş substitute Ernest Muci found the back of the net with a splendid strike in injury time, but it was not enough to alter the outcome.
