Black Eagles were clearly the better side early on as Ernest Muci fired them in front with a splendid left-footed shot from outside the box that caught the visitors’ goalkeeper off guard on 18 minutes. Ankaragücü searched for an equaliser in the remainder of the first half, but it was 1-0 for Beşiktaş at the interval. With 67 minutes gone, Jackson Muleka doubled the home side’s advantage through a beautiful looping header which picked the far corner of the net and put the Super League game away for good. The 2-0 victory ended Beşiktaş’ run of five matches without a win.
