The Black Eagles' Champions League unbeaten streak ended in Germany.
Led by the hot-shooting Michael Roll, the visitors Beşiktaş Sompo Japan held a 51-46 lead over the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg heading into the intermission. The German hosts pulled within 67-64 after the third quarter and then took advantage Beşiktaş’ foul trouble in the final stanza to come away with an 89-83 victory. Despite the loss, Beşiktaş Sompo Japan closed out the first half of the Basketball Champions League group stage in first-place.
