Trying to retain their position atop the Super League table, the Black Eagles started the away game at Karabük in an attacking mode and piled the pressure on the home side but failed to hit the back of the net throughout the first half. Karabükspor unexpectedly surged 1-0 ahead through Ermin Zec on 50 minutes. From that point on, Beşiktaş pushed for the equaliser, but with no luck whatsoever. Then, at the 73rd-minute mark, Evgen Seleznyov doubled the homeside’s lead with a close-range finish and secured the three points for Karabükspor. Vincent Aboubakar got one back three minutes before the full-time but it was too little and too late.
