Beşiktaş Vice-Chairman Hüseyin Yücel honored with Mediterranean Excellence Award

Beşiktaş JK Vice-Chairman Hüseyin Yücel and  player Ciro Immobile were awarded the "International Excellence Mediterranean Award 2024" at the ceremony jointly organized by the Mediterranean Journalists Association, the Italian Sports Writers Association and the European Sports Writers Association in Rome, Italy.

Hüseyin Yücel received the award for his contributions to sports and youth from Charles Camenzuli, the President of the European Sports Writers Association.

When asked about his thoughts on receiving the prestigious award, Yücel said, “As part of the volleyball department, both me and our girls received this award. This is truly a  proud evening not only for my club Beşiktaş but also for our country. I would like to thank everyone who contributed wholeheartedly.”

Speaking on Italian star Immobile's transfer to Beşiktaş, Yücel added, "If Beşiktaş is interested in a football player, we simply go out and buy him ."
