"We won tonight, but there are still things we need to fix. What made us happy was that our players displayed a fighting spirit  from start to finish. Our defense also avoided previous mistakes.   We dedicate this win to our fans. 

After the departure of Manager Santos, we wanted to provide a comfortable environment for the new managerial team. I and Beşiktaş Football Teams Director Samet Aybaba tried to create a positive atmosphere within the team by talking to our players individually. We told them about the importance of togetherness and teamwork on days like these. We believe our efforts will gradually pay off because we are well below our capacity right now.

We respect our Turkish Cup opponent MKE Ankaragücü.  However,  our goal is to win that cup. Both matches will be tough. We’ll try to win the away first leg without conceding a goal. It's going to be an exciting two-legged semi-final battle.”
