Beşiktaş visit Great Leader Ataturk

Together with a large group of Beşiktaş fans who flocked to the event from all over Turkiye, the newly-elected Beşiktaş JK Chairman Hasan Arat and Board Members paid homage to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk by visiting his mausoleum in Anıtkabir, Ankara. After the wreath laying ceremony, Beşiktaş Chairman Arat wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Private Notebook:

 “The Great Atatürk, the Founder of Turkish Republic,

On the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic, it is a tremendous pleasure and honor to stand before you today.

Together with  Beşiktaş fans from all over the country, we commemorate all our martyrs who fought for this homeland and worked non-stop for the growth and strengthening of Turkish Republic. 

Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club and millions of Beşiktaş fans have been followers of your ideas  for more than 100 years. Today, at your eternal resting place, we reiterate our commitment  to your  principles and  goals once again. In order to pass on this valuable spiritual heritage to future generations, every Beşiktaş fan will work diligently and sincerely throughout their lives. The 120-year-old Beşiktaş community will also spare no effort to elevate this beautiful and unique homeland that you have entrusted to us above the level of contemporary civilizations.

On behalf of every Beşiktaş fan, I would like to express our eternal gratitude to you.  This nation will never forget you.
