Beşiktaş Chairman Çebi's Message for May 2023

Dear Beşiktaş Fans,

In the month of April, our Beşiktaş Ceylan women's volleyball team made us proud by getting promoted to the Turkiye’s top league, the Sultans League, as the Champions of Turkish Division I. I sincerely congratulate our coaches and players  for  contributing to this success. They promised us that they would show the same determination and passion in the Sultans League next season as well. I also would like to thank our Board Member Melih Arslan and our sponsor Ali Ceylan, who stood by the team at all times. Without their support, the team would not have reached this important milestone.

We continue to provide help to the earthquake victims. Within this framework, we played a benefit match with the Spanish giants Atlético Madrid in Istanbul, with all its proceeds going to the victims’ families. The match was widely reported in the European and world press.

In an another Beşiktaş organised event that took place before our derby match with Galatasaray at Vodafone Park, thousands of Beşiktaş supporters donated books to the earthquake-affected children. I want everybody to know that we will never leave our earthquake-hit citizens without any support and alone in the cold.

On the other hand, your Black Eagles managed to defeat  arch-rivals Fenerbahçe in a Super Legue derby at Kadiköy, with only 10 men. Soon after, they brought down the Super League leaders Galatasaray at our own shrine Vodafone Park. The good part is that we dominated the both matches and could’ve scored many more goals. Hoping to build on this performance, we look forward to reporting some more wins in May.
