Europa League qualifiers Beşiktaş got off to a slow start and were unable to find their feet throughout the first half. While the visitors struggled, Murat Yıldırım finished off a rebound in the 37th minute after Benca’s shot was pushed back by keeper Rüştü and gave Samsun a one-goal advantage, which would hold up until the intermission.

Black Eagles came out more determined in the second half and got back on level terms with a 78th- minute penalty from sub Edu. Neither team were able to add to their scores in the remaining minutes as they went on to share the points.
