Soccer schools tournament underway

The 7th Beşiktaş JK soccer schools summer tournament, which is to last three weeks, got started in Istanbul, with the participation of teams from Thrace and Marmara region.

“ We have more than 100 soccer schools operating across 4 continents. The schools teach modern football to more than 5 thousand students from different nationalities. We see them as a source of talent for our regular teams. In addition to opening up a sports academy, we plan to organize an international schools Olympics in Turkey, which will be first of its kind in the world. We are doing our best to spread football throughout the world,” said Nedim Sarsmaz, who is charge of the Beşiktaş soccer schools.

Mr Ufuk Pak, the General Coordinator of the schools added,” These types of tournaments offer a real opportunity to students to display their talents. I am sure they will make the most of it to impress the scouts here.\"
