Beşiktaş:2 Ankaragücü:1

Our Football Team defeated visiting Ankaragücü 2-1 in the last week of Turkish Cup Group D at a game played in BJK İnönü Stadium without any spectator and reached to quarter finals. While our first goal was scored by Ricardinho from a 62nd penalty shot, Delgado added another in the 73rd minute.  

The game in BJK Stadium played without spectators because of our penalty was refereed by Bülent Demirlenk. While Ankaragücü based its game plan on a typical counter-attack tactic, during the early minutes of the game our side looked more effective. Using the wing attacks more efficiently Black&Whites wasted two serious chances with Nobre in the 8th and 14th minutes. Beşiktaş took total control of the game after the first 15 minutes and applied pressure on visiting team’s defense especially with Nobre, Bobo and Delgado. Although our Beşiktaş with 6 corner kicks, 6 shots on target and 61 percent of the game dominated its opponent at every part of the field, could not find its long searched goal and first half ended in a 0-0 scoreless tie. 

Our team started the second half with same line up and came very close to scoring in 48th and 50th minutes with Bobo and Nobre duo. While rival Ankaragücü mostly remained in defense and tried to respond through fast counter attacks, it gave the superiority of midfield to Beşiktaş who still had the better of the game. Despite of this one-sided play in favor Beşiktaş, Ankaragücü was the team who scored the first goal. Bebbe made the score 1-0 for Ankaragücü from a corner kick in the 50th minute. However one minute later Koray Avcı who was in a one on one position with opponent’s goalkeeper suddenly found himself tripped inside the visiting team's 18 yard line and Beşiktaş was awarded with a penalty kick by the referee Bülent Demirlenk. Ricardinho took a perfect shot and tied the score (1-1).After Burak Yılmaz replaced Bobo in the 66th minute, there was a lighting problem inside the stadium and game had to stopped for nearly 15 minutes. 

Once the play resumed Black & Whites took the lead, Delgado controlled the ball at the right side of 18 yard-line and took a brilliant shot that brought the score 2-1 in favor Beşiktaş. In the 86th minute of the game Delgado was substituted with İbrahim Akın. Yasin from Ankaragücü received red card for an illegal tackle to Ricardinho in the 88th minute
By beating Ankaragücü 2-1 Black&Whites gathered 9 points in Group D that gave them the second place with a goal average and reached the quarter finals of the Turkish Cup.
