Former Black Eagle Ufuk Sarıca has penned a 2+1 deal with the Beşiktaş Sompo Japan as the Head Coach. After playing for the Efes Pilsen, Ülkerspor, Pınar Karşıyaka, Darüşşafaka, Beşiktaş and winning numerous titles, Sarıca retired from the active basketball and took up coaching with the Anadolu Efes. Before joining Beşiktaş, he coached Pınar Karşıyaka and won the Turkish League in 2015. Sarıca currently serves as an assistant coach  to the Turkish national team.
