Lady Eagles win their 4h Europecup game

Starting with a lineup of Vandersloot, Korstin, Yasemin Horasan, Jokic and Hoffman, women’s basketball opened with a jumper by Courtney and then used an 11-0 run, which kept them in front 20-10 at the end of first. Hoffman teamed with Korstin in the second stanza to dominate the boards as Beşiktaş pushed the lead into double-digits, 40-26, going into the locker room.

With the start of the second half, visiting Belgians roared back to life and put together a late rally to tie the game at 54 after three quarters of play. However, led by their hot-shooting guard Vandersloot, Beşiktaş played much better defense in the final quarter and walked off the court with an 84-77 victory. Korstin was the top scorer for the Lady Eagles with 25 points while Vadnersloot racked up 24 and newcomer Hoffman added 12.
