Beşiktaş Milangaz 100, Pınar Karşıyaka 93

Deron Williams scores 24 as the Eagles pull out a close one in Izmir City.

They started the Week 2 game cold and fell behind quickly, but thanks to a flurry of late buckets by Zoran Erceg and David Hawkins surged ahead 23-20, going into the second quarter. Host Karşıyaka regained the lead at 45-44 on a last-second jumper by Chatman entering the break.

The back-and-forth affair continued after three quarters with Beşiktaş Milangaz trailing 69-68. However, Beşiktaş’s NBA All-Star Deron Williams stepped into the spotlight in the final stanza and started making his three-pointers to help lead the Eagles to a 100-93 victory.

Williams poured in a team-high 24 points for Beşiktaş, followed by Marcelus Kemp who had 23.
