Pınar Karşıyaka 87, Beşiktaş Cola Turka 84

Visiting Beşiktaş Cola Turka went down 87-84 to Pınar Karşıyaka in Week 26 game at Karşıyaka Sports Hall today. 

The Eagles started sluggish and trailed 9-4 at midway point of the first quarter. Despite a string of buckets by Cevher Özer and Mire Chatman, they were down 25-15, heading into the second. In the second stanza,  Beşiktaş Cola Turka rode the scoring of Ignerski and pulled within six points, 30-24, after two minutes, but failed to contain the hot-shooting Birkan Tutuk as Karşıyaka took a 50- 39 lead into the intermission. 
The home team extended the margin to 16 points, 65-49, with 3:10 to go in the third, only to see Kemp team up with Chatman to trim the deficit to 67-64 after three quarters of play. The Eagles carried momentum into the fourth stanza as they jumped in front, 69-67, on back-to- back jumpers from Serkan Erdoğan two minutes into the quarter. From there on, the game went back and forth with Karşıyaka holding a 85-81 advantage, entering the final minute. A Cevher Özer three-pointer from left wing brought the deficit down to a point with 15 seconds left on the clock, but a couple of free throws by Smith secured an 87-84 victory for the home side.
Kemp finished with a game-high 24 points. Serkan Erdoğan (18), Ogilvy (11), Chatman (11), Cevher Özer (8), İgnerski (6), Serhat (2), Hüseyin (2) and Likholitov (2) also contributed to the Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s offensive effort.
