Beşiktaş bantam boys basketball team won the Istanbul League with a thrilling 73-67 victory
over arch-rival Fenerbahçe at Bayrampaşa Sports Hall today.

The junior Eagles trailed 24-23 by the end of first quarter but came back to lead 41-39 at the
break. The score remained tight in the third with Beşiktaş clinging to a 56-55 edge after three
quarters of play. A late rally in the fourth lifted the Eagles to a 73-67 victory.
Doğukan Şanlı finished with 20 points, followed by Kartal Özmızrak (16), Hakan Köse (13),
and Cem Hasan (8). Beşiktaş will now compete in the nationals scheduled for May 24-29 in
Kastamonu City.
