A club statement addressed to Public Acknowledgment Platform by the Beşiktaş Football Investments Co reads as follows.

“The negotiations between Beşiktaş and Al-Rayyan Sports Club for sending Rodrigo Tabata, whose contract has been put on hold on January 20, 2011 due to Turkish Football Federation’s foreign player restriction, to the Qatari team have commenced.”
