The victory over Trabzonspor that sent Beşiktaş to the Turkish Cup Quarter-Finals brought smiles to all Eagles’ faces. Players Roberto Hilbert and Ekrem Dağ expressed their feelings in a post-match press conference:

Roberto Hilbert:  We overpowered them and scored two well-executed goals in the first half. Sitting on a two-goal cushion made us lose our concentration in the second, but we did not lose control. We are all delighted with the final outcome. The results of our last two matches show that we are in for a good start into the second half of the season.
Tonight, we beat the league-leading Trabzonspor, which, as far as I am concerned, is one of the best teams in Turkey right now. However, there are other equally strong teams we have to face. Everyone keeps saying we are going to win all our remaining matches, but I am not so sure if it is going to be that easy. In any case, we must go out there and do the best we can. 
Ekrem Dağ: It feels great to be back after such a long injury. We were tremendous in the first half, then for some reason, we lost our magic in the first five minutes of the second half. I am glad we managed to hang on and ended up on the winning side.
I was sidelined with an unlucky injury for the past four and a half months. To tell you the truth, I missed playing football. I am presently not in top shape, but I expect to be ready in couple of weeks.
