Beşiktaş’s new addition Simao Sabrosa, Hugo Almedia and Manuel Fernandes arrived in Istanbul on Sunday, and a group of cheering fans were at hand to greet them.

Accompanied by Beşiktaş Football Committee Member Cengiz Zülfikaroğlu and the Eagles’ Internationally-acclaimed Star Quaresma, the Portuguese players arrived at Atatürk Airport on a private plane from Lisbon. There, they were greeted by Serdar Adalı, Head of Football Committee, and a large group of vocal fans. Sabrosa, Almedia and Fernandes stepped out of the gates wearing Beşiktaş’s new gray-colored jerseys. 
Despite a 2-hour delay, due to unfavorable weather conditions in Lisbon, tons of Eagles fans braved the cold weather to welcome their new starts, chanting and cheering a long the way. 
 “I am as excited as they are, can’t wait to go on the pitch and make them happy,” said Hugo Almedia.  After working their way through the crowd, which took almost half an hour, the Portuguse players were whisked away to their hotel in downtown Istanbul.
