In an interview given to German daily Bild, Beşiktaş’s new addition from Werder Bremen Hugo Almedia said he came to Beşiktaş to win multiple championships:

“Before deciding on Beşiktaş, I compared all other offers as carefully as possible. In the end, I picked the Turkish team, because they not only had a proven coach but a championship team as well. It took long discussions to convince my family, but I am glad I was able to beat the December 24 deadline. Since the signing part is over by now, I can sit back and enjoy my Christmas holiday in Portugal, before my travel to Istanbul on January the 3rd. 
At Beşiktaş, we plan to go as far as we can in the Europa League this season. In addition, we are set to key in both the Turkish League and the Turkish Cup. I want to win multiple championships here. Just like I did at Werder Bremen, I expect to score 9 to 10 goals in the second half of the season.
I have to admit, Real Madrid is my dream team, and I’d like to work with Manager Jose Mourinho once again. We must also remember that it is always hard to play for famous teams like Real Madrid because you are under the spots all the time. Even if you make a small mistake, you are out and have to for a long time to be forgiven. But for the time being, my main goal is to help Beşiktaş achieve her dreams.
I had a great time at Werder Bremen, which I won’t forget for as long as I live. Although I am not going to travel to Bremen to say goodbye, the German club will always hold a special place in my heart. But since both Beşiktaş and Werder Bremen are training in Antalya right now, I may get a chance to bid farewell to my former teammates over there.”
