Beşiktaş 2- 2 Konyaspor

On Spor Toto Turkish Super League Day 13, Beşiktaş were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Konyaspor.

The Eagles got off to a good start and pinned the visitors into their half for the first 15 minutes.  But on 16 minutes, they ended up conceding a shock goal instead. Receiving the ball in his midfield from a corner clearance, Grajciar dribbled for nearly 60 yards and sent a laser shot past keeper Cenk Gönen to give Konyaspor an unexpected one goal lead. The Black and White were not fazed as they came right back with an equaliser when Kere scored an own goal at the 27th minute mark, off Tabata’s cross. With total control of flanks, the Eagles continued to apply pressure and managed to get another in the 40th minute. Holosko brilliantly finished off a Quaresma cross from the right side to put Beşiktaş on top 2-1. Few minutes later, Quaresma suffered a groin injury and had to be replaced by Erhan Güven. The Eagles played the remainder of the half out in a cautious fashion, happy to take a one-goal edge into the break.
At the outset of the second half, Beşiktaş had two golden opportunities to extend their lead, but Holosko and Tabata, who were having an off day, both came empty handed. While the Eagles were taking turns to waste chances, the visitors scored on their first serious attack just as in the first half, with Grajciar hitting his second of the game to level the match at 2-2 on 67 minutes. Soon after midfielder Necip Uysal came on for the injured defender Ersan Gülüm in the 73rd minute, Beşiktaş, despite looking vulnerable at the back, went all out to find the winner, causing frantic scenes at either end of the pitch. But the Konyaspor defence held firm and soaked up attack after attack to deny the Eagles the goal they craved. The match ended in a two-all draw.
