Our Chairman Yıldırım Demirören made the following statement concerning the victory against Ukraine and the players who played in our National Team with Moon & Stars:

First of all I congratulate the victory against Ukraine, which was an important phase in the way to finals of the 2006 World Cup to be held in Germany, from the bottom of my heart and wish continuation of their success sincerely.  
Our National Team played 2 very important games for the 2006 World Cup finals in the last two weeks. We had results which kept our play off hopes alive for making the finals by the end of these games which we as a nation followed with great excitement and focus.   Especially the game played against Ukraine yesterday had been very important. Thank God that the players in the national team won the game with a result which made us all happy. 
We, as the Board of Directors of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club, decided to reward Okan Buruk, İbrahim Toroman, Tümer Metin, Koray Avcı and Gökhan Zan with TL 5 billion performance premium each due to their performance and contribution in the National Team. We decided to give performance premiums from now on, as a way of encouragement, to our players who will be selected for the National Team.
By the same token, we congratulate everyone who contributed to the success notably the Head Coach of the National Teams Fatih Terim and the technical staff, and wish success from the bottom of my heart with belief in us that we will see our National Team playing in 2006 World Cup Championship to be held in Germany.
