“I am not going anywhere”

Oscar Cordoba, goal keeper of Beşiktaş, responded to allegations, which have been published on some of the papers that he would leave Beşiktaş and be transferred to Boca Juniors team in Argentina at the end of the season.

Successful goal keeper said in the statement he made to the press members before the evening work out at BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities “I intend to stay here and play football as long as Beşiktaş Club is happy with me. Also, I have never been the type of player who would leave in the middle of his contract period. I am in a Community where I am very happy and I certainly do not think of leaving.”
Oscar Cordoba said that the matter was just a personal statement of an administrator of Boca Junior and added as follows:
“Here is the true story of what happened: An administrator of the Boca Juniors team has mentioned my name at the top of the list of goal keepers which they wanted to see at their team next year, following a cup game played in Argentina. The reason they have been looking for a goal keeper is that they have been having problems due to the busy schedule of their current goal keeper due to the national team games. I should express here that the said statement is the personal statement of the above mentioned administrator. I have not received any offer by any means. Moreover, I am already very happy with my Club and have no intentions to leave.”
Cordoba stated that everything has been great for both himself and Beşiktaş and said “A super team has been formed. We have great objectives concerning the Super League, Turkish Cup and Europe. I do not understand why such allegations are brought up at a time when everything for our team and me have been do great.”
